Invest in your future

Global Public Health

Includes courses in partnership
with the University of Richmond

Although overall world health statistics show positive progress towards global well-being and life expectancy, income and various factors of inequality still influence a country’s overall health. Join GVIs Global Public Health Virtual Internship to gain real-world experience and a contextual understanding of the day-to-day responsibilities of a public health professional. You’ll work alongside local and international organisations to analyse sustainable approaches to leading health concerns, focussed on providing accessible quality healthcare services for all.

Project work

Throughout your internship you’ll be completing one project each week that helps a local organisation solve an actual problem. Since we work with real partners, real, valuable projects will be assigned to you. This means that the types of projects you could work on will vary. We aim to match you as closely as possible with an organisation and a task that aligns with your personal career goals. See below for some of the projects you could work on during your internship.

Create educational resources for global public health

Design educational modules on life skills for a support group assisting Burmese migrants affected by HIV. These modules will cover various topics, including coping with stigma.

Research the rise and impact of zoonotic diseases

Conduct research on the impact of zoonotic diseases in Southeast Asia. Create a campaign based on research to discourage the capture, trade and consumption of wildlife, reducing the risk of transmitting zoonoses.
