We’re super excited to welcome two accomplished professionals to our impact team.

Refilwe Mokoena, our new Social Impact Director, brings over 15 years of international development expertise. With a focus on impact management frameworks and participatory appraisal approaches, she has served on the boards of the Small Enterprise Foundation and the Change Agents Network of South Africa. Refilwe holds a Master’s in Public and Development Sector Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Dr. Vardhan Patankar, our dedicated Impact Director, has an impressive background in marine systems. Holding a Ph.D. in Coral Reef Ecology and Conservation Biology, Dr. Patankar leads the charge in designing and implementing conservation project impact frameworks, processes and policies.

With Refilwe and Dr. Patankar on board, GVI is set to make an even bigger impact globally. Stay tuned for more exciting news!
